Red Carpet 1 Year Film Tour Anniversary Screening + Stand Up Comedy by Haresh Sood
14 December 2025 - 2.00pm
The UK's first and only Indian filmmaker and barrister, Nottingham-based Haresh Sood, follows up his acclaimed debut My Niece’s Big Fat Delhi Wedding with his second feature documentary. This time, Haresh turns the lens on himself, exploring the challenges and societal pressures of being an unmarried 48-year-old British Indian male. The film intelligently delves into the taunts, discrimination and cultural expectations he’s faced, while offering a humorous yet poignant critique of the Indian matrimonial system. He simultaneously highlights the 'L' words we overlook in our lives to become happy, Pancho his Labrador being one, and also looks into marriage and relationships universally. He goes on to educate the audience with his own new theory called the 'i theory', based upon a plethora of research as to why relationships work or fail. Haresh who has a background in Stand Up Comedy, will be performing an exclusively to mark one year of his film tour. Cama Sood Hara has been on tour internationally since November Diwali 2024 and wowed audiences everywhere it has gone and been shown next to some of the film industry's biggest names branding it 'Insightful', 'Intelligent', 'Highly thought provoking' and 'Hilarious and very emotionally moving at the same time.' It is one of the few Independent films have had immense critical acclaim after many years as it has gone from Cinema to Cinema. See the trailer below.
