LAUDABLE: HARISH MASANI, EDUCATOR & KISHOR VADHIA, AUTHOR, THE PILLARS OF THE INDIAN COMMUNITY OF BIRMINGHAM, TO ATTEND AS A VIP GUESTs, AT THE BIRMINGHAM PREMIERE OF #CSH THIS DIWALI, AT THE MIDLANDS ARTS CENTRE (MAC), ON SUNDAY the 19th OCTOBER 2025 AT 5PM
After the overwhelming response across the UK, Ireland, Scotland and internationally, Cama Sood Hara by Barrister and Filmmaker Haresh Sood, is about to mesmerise the audience in the West Midlands of England in Birmingham, at the VIP screening on 19 October at the MAC. See the trailer below.

Harish is a dedicated and passionate individual who's been actively involved with the local Indian community in Birmingham for many years. As a volunteer and committee member at the Shree Hindu Community Centre, he has had the privilege of contributing to the organisation at various festivals and events, including, creating beautiful decorations that add to the vibrancy of our celebrations.

He is particularly proud of his role as the Joint Head of Gujarati language learning at the temple, where he been serving the community for the past 40 years. He is passionate about preserving and promoting the richness of the Indian cultural heritage and language to tomorrows generation.

Outside of my community work, he is involved in jointly organising and running the Summer Club during the Summer School break, providing a fun and engaging experience for children. He often choreographs dance dramas and staging performances that showcase Indian culture, promoting it to younger generations. he says 'Professionally, I work in Finance, and I'm proud to say I'm carrying on my father's legacy in promoting Sanatan Dharma. I'm a proud parent of four sons, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to pass on our cultural values and traditions to them'.

Kishor Vadhia, on the other hand is equally as praiseworthy. He has been the President of the Jansari community for many years. Born in Nukuru Kenya, he
went to India when he was only 5 years old and studied in Porbandar Nayug Vidhyalay then read Madhvani Arts at Commerce College until I was 17 years of age. From a very young age he became the carer for his blind aunty which he says 'taught me how to help needy' He also started feeding stray cows (Gaumata), which is a Hindu ritual.
He says his aunt taught him how to sing bhajans (devotional songs) and also how to cook.
Following this, in 1970 he came to the U.K. and initially stayed in London for six months then moved to Birmingham with his parents and like many South Asian's, he started working in factory then after few years joined business with brother as he aspired to achieve a good life for himself and his family.

While in business, he simultaneously worked as a Gujarati teacher, produced six bhajan albums and wrote four books in Gujarati. One of which was translated in English 'The Truth' and published worldwide by an American publisher. To buy a copy, click here. The book highlights many key themes about life related to the film. He also produced two DVD films based on his true story. All of his projects received widespread appreciation internationally.

Kishor is well know for the running of his own charity called, U.K. Seva Samiti which has four Ann Chetra's (serving food to assist those who are hungry). This serves hundreds of children and families continuously. Additionally he is involved in many projects such as setting up small businesses for the disabled and providing free education, clean water, new clothes, new shoes, education materials for those in need. He is also involved in organising free Cataract Eye camps in Africa for poor people providing food, clothes, education and more.

At 71 years of age, he says 'I love my charity work, even though I am now retired. I balance it with my grandchildren and wife having celebrated 50 years of marriage',
.
The film highlights the words we overlook in our lives which can help us through difficult times, and being laudible is certainly one of thise. Moreover, Harish and Kishor are fine examples of two people deserving praise from the entire Birmingham Indian Community they have worked for and with.
