This documentary film is about Haresh Sood, a Nottingham & Sevilla based Filmmaker and Barrister who tells his own story. Whilst his first film was about the marriage of his niece (the global hit, My Nieces Big Fat Delhi Wedding), this time, the spotlight is on Haresh himself for not being married.
For the first time, we hear from a British Indian male on how and why he is unmarried at the age of 48 years. The title of the film is a spin on an old famous Indian scripture which has a deep meaning that you understand as the story unfolds.
Haresh intelligently highlights the discrimination, taunts, comments, and amusing views he has encountered and endured over the years, whilst simultaneously exposing the dark underbelly of the Indian matrimonial system.
In the film, Haresh opens his heart and shares his personal and emotional journey through love, loss and much more. He explains how the help of laughter and his chocolate Labrador Pancho, (and many other L words), have played a prominent role in rediscovering his own happiness, including his own larynx. Throughout the tour, VIP guests have joined who reflect 'L' Words we can all learn from and aspire towards to achieve a better state of being.
Haresh further cleverly examines the proscribed ‘union of marriage’ by turning the tables on the agents and advocates of matrimony in all communities and cultures. He directly puts them under the spotlight asking them to sell the union to him, adducing some contradictory and interesting responses.
Through his skillful story telling manner from his experience in Stand Up comedy, Haresh highlights many subjects through his journey which are never spoken about that have led to many people to being single, either through choice, divorce, or having a disinterest in relationships.
Moreover, he creates and shares an insightful theory as to why relationships work and fail from his own experiences based on a plethora of research from experts called the 'I theory' which is gaining immense interest.
The film which has been shot over 5 countries (U.K, India, Kuwait, Spain, and Norway) has a cast, crew, and production team of 250 people and has been receiving immense attention globally amongst the independent film circuit because of it's unique story.
Moreover the film has been on an international tour since November 2024 and is receiving rave reviews which can be seen on all social media platforms @HareshSoodFilms.
With melodious tunes throughout the film, Haresh has roped in many artists, singers, and musicians both locally, nationally, and globally in this distinctive documentary which can be seen on the websites music page.
This documentary will leave your thoughts provoked and discussing the topics touched upon from a new perspective. Branded a 'must watch', 'highly thought provoking' and 'unmissable', film critics highly recommend this film for all.

Film Director Q & A by the renowned Sonia Gupta, Relationship and Divorce Coach.
In a culture where marriage is often seen as the pinnacle of success and divorce is shrouded in stigma, Sonia Gupta continues to challenge the status quo. It is no surprise that Barrister and Filmmaker Haresh Sood and his team have invited her to host the exclusive Q&A session at the East London VIP screening of #CSH, a film that boldly questions the traditions and expectations of the Indian matrimonial system.
The East London-based Relationship and Divorce Coach is on a mission to empower individuals to redefine their self-worth beyond societal expectations.
Sonia first made headlines when she celebrated her divorce with a viral “divorce party” — a bold statement that personal happiness should never be sacrificed for outdated cultural norms. Her courageous act sparked critical conversations around self-worth, resilience, and the right to live authentically. However, Sonia’s journey of empowerment didn’t stop there. In early 2025, she faced a life-threatening health crisis that reshaped her understanding of strength and self-care. Hospitalised with pneumonia, influenza B, and a lung clot, she spent several days on life support — while those around her prepared for the worst. Waking up was not only a miracle but also a profound awakening. She realised how easily she had neglected her own well-being in the relentless pursuit of success and responsibility.
As a single mother, Sonia had long believed she had no choice but to keep pushing forward — to provide, to achieve, and to meet every expectation placed upon her. But that experience became her greatest teacher. Sonia says;
“I thought that because I was a single parent, I didn’t have the luxury of slowing down or taking care of myself. But the truth is, without health, we have nothing. And I learned that the hard way,” she reflects.
Since her recovery, Sonia’s story has continued to inspire countless individuals across the globe. Her resilience and authenticity have earned her widespread recognition — including being honored with the ‘Voice of Change’ Award by Kaushalya Org, celebrating her impact as a thought leader and advocate for empowerment and healing. She also served as a Guest Speaker at the Indo-British Friendship Conclave in Delhi, where she shared her insights on women’s empowerment, resilience, and redefining success in modern society.

Larynx: Najma Akhtar,
World renowned Singer.
Najma Akhtar, a British born, singer, songwriter, composer and actor has achieved a place in world music history as one of the true pioneers of uniquely fusing Western and Eastern musical styles. She has recorded many solo albums and is credited in crafting a new musical genre, in which Jazz nuances are blended with the Ghazal (Urdu ballad) and Sufi (Devotional poetry) repertoires. Her ground-breaking and innovative debut album, ‘Qareeb' (Closeness), remains one of the most important world music albums ever recorded catapulting Najma into the World Music arena. Even though her music has remained rooted in the Ghazal and other traditional music of her ancestral home, her versatility as a writer and composer can be seen through a vast diverse body of work & artistic collaborations with some of the world’s most influential and credible musicians.
Apart from her ability to perform Indian traditional semi-classical, her new album, Five Rivers’, pushes the boundaries of musical interpretation a bit further in which Najma’s focus is on the Western canon of song. She says, “Using selected covers, my interpretation of songs written by Donovan, Tim Hardin, Bryan MacLean, Rev Gary Davis and the mystical love poetry of W. B. Yeats has allowed me to compare the many shared reference points between the ancient tradition of Ghazal (romantic Urdu poetry) and the Western tradition of lyric poetry, both beautifully address the issues of unrequited loss, tragedy & disillusionment” which are central to the Indian tradition of Ghazal.
Her music encompasses, Ghazal, Sufi, World Jazz, Asian Underground, Delta Blues, Psychedelia, Rock, Western Folk, Celtic, Sufi, North African Blues, Irish Celtic nuances and more. Her bi-lingual Indian vocals create a beautiful marriage between the East and the West that is utterly compelling. She has received universal critical acclaim including, David Fricke (Rolling Stone) who praised her ‘effortless artistry and emotional daring‘ and The Observer which described how ‘The pure soaring arc of Najma’s voice remains above emulation’.
