Liaise: Chirag Khajuria, Chairman of Flyde Coast Hindu Society to attend the Exclusive North-West Red Carpet Premiere of Cama Sood Hara as a VIP, at Preston, Arc Cinema, 15th August 2025, in celebration of India's Independence Day, at 7pm.

After the overwhelming response across the UK, Ireland and Scotland, Cama Sood Hara is about to mesmerise the audience in the North-West of England in Preston, Lancashire at the VIP screening at the Arc Cinema on 15th August 2025. See the trailer below.
Chirag Khajuria – Community Leader is a local businessman and the Chair of Fylde Coast Hindu Society in Blackpool. Him and his team are committed to promoting social harmony, cultural celebrations, and inclusion across the Fylde Coast, starting from grassroots involvement within the local Hindu community. He has liaised with communities and Politicians to build bridges including the Rt. Honorable, Chris Webb, MP for Blackpool South, in Lancashire.

Chirag has spent over a decade supporting interfaith initiatives, cultural outreach, and social development projects. Over time, his dedication and leadership qualities earned him increasing responsibility within the Fylde Coast Hindu Society (FCHS). For the past seven years, he has served as the organisation’s Chairman, helping to grow it into a respected, proactive charity that extends far beyond religious boundaries.

Under Chirag's leadership, FCHS has evolved into a dynamic platform for cultural education and community cohesion. The Society regularly hosts Bollywood dance classes, school visits, heritage workshops, and large-scale public eventsthat bring together people of all backgrounds. Chirag believes that true integration and cohesion happen when communities educate each other about their culture and heritage, fostering mutual respect and understanding. He has played a vital role in making the organisation accessible, inclusive, and deeply rooted in the social fabric of Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.

In addition to his work with FCHS, Chirag holds several influential roles in the community. He is a trustee of Empowerment Charity, which supports vulnerable people across the region, and an active member of both the Blackpool Faith Forum and the Fairness Commission. Through these and various other civic and interfaith committees, he contributes to building inclusive policies, promoting dialogue, and ensuring equal opportunities for all communities. His input is especially valued on issues of community cohesion, minority representation, and social equity.

A major milestone in Chirag’s work came in 2023, when he led the organisation and delivery of Blackpool’s first-ever Indian Cultural Festival, held in July on the Promenade at Festival Headland. Now in its third year running, the free public event features Bollywood dance, Dhol drumming, henna art, traditional dress, and Indian cuisine. Drawing in thousands of attendees from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, the festival serves as a vibrant celebration of unity through culture.

Later that year, Chirag led Blackpool’s first Diwali Lights Switch-On event on 2 November 2024, illuminating a large symbolic Diya on the seafront to mark the triumph of light over darkness. The celebration continued with the Diwali Dhamaka Party at the Winter Gardens, featuring traditional music, dance, and food. The event united locals, tourists, civic leaders, and families in a joyous, inclusive evening that reflected Chirag’s core values of togetherness, respect, and cultural pride.

Outside of his professional and community work, Chirag enjoys a range of personal interests. He is passionate about reading, particularly on topics related to leadership, history, and cultural heritage. He has a deep appreciation for music, and is a keen tennis enthusiast—making it a tradition to attend Wimbledon every year.
