LEADER: RAMAN SARPAL TO ATTEND AS A VIP AT THE BIRMINGHAM PREMIERE OF #CSH, THIS DIWALI AT THE MIDLANDS ARTS CENTRE (MAC), ON SUNDAY 19 OCTOBER 2025 AT 5PM
A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way'
John C. Maxwell
After the overwhelming response across the UK, Ireland, Scotland and internationally, Cama Sood Hara by Barrister and Filmmaker Haresh Sood, is about to mesmerise the audience in the West Midlands of England in Birmingham, at the VIP screening on 19 October at the MAC. See the trailer below.

Raman Sarpal, is no ordinary name when it comes to breaking barriers for South Asians and South Asian women in particular. During her teen years she was part of central workshop, now ITV, appearing in various TV shows. This was a time when Indian girls were discouraged to enter the TV circuit by their community, leading to a breakthrough for many other Indian girls whereby Raman paved the way for them as an unsung heroine.

As a result, Raman went on to read of English and Drama at Liverpool University where she became the events coordinator after graduation. it was here she realised she had a passionate interest in wanting to lead, inspire and influence. With this in mind she went to work with the Drum Arts Centre in West Midlands, which is now the Legacy Centre. Here she lead and developed some of Birmingham's key South Asian projects which make her the back bone to the success of vibrant South Asian community in the West Midlands we have today.
Raman then went onto work for the Chamber of Commerce, working with businesses whereby she empowered them to become more responsible. Supporting budgets, team management and leadership in business, this became her forte and trade mark, for which she was head hunted for a number of roles.

A mother of 3, Raman says her daughters have been her inspiration and rock in supporting in the background which led to work with Wolverhampton University. Through her work she has often met celebrities through projects who have highlighted the importance of leading ones own life by making good choices. (Martin Kemp and Gurdas Mann featured)
Earlier this year, Raman took on the challenge to walk 100 miles in one month, and encouraged all of her South Asian friends to do the same encouraging positive physical and mental health. She achieved walking 127 miles over her target raising hundreds of pounds for the Macmillan Cancer Support.

Raman, who appears in the film with a profound message, encourages everyone, especially South Asian women to make the correct choices and to lead their own lives, a message which is embedded in the film for all.
