Thus, it is without a doubt that Barrister and Filmmaker Haresh Sood and his team have invited her to grace the VIP screening of #CSH, which is about challenging the status quo of the Indian Matrimonial system.

The East London-based relationship and divorce coach is on a mission to empower individuals to redefine self-worth beyond societal expectations.

Sonia made headlines when she celebrated her divorce with a viral "divorce party," a bold declaration that personal happiness should not be sacrificed for outdated cultural norms. This unconventional act sparked critical conversations about self-worth, resilience, and the right to embrace one's truth. However, her journey of self-discovery and empowerment didn't stop there.
In early 2025, Sonia faced a life-threatening health crisis that forced her to confront an even deeper lesson: health is wealth, and self-care is non-negotiable. Hospitalized with pneumonia, influenza B, and a lung clot, she spent days on life support—completely unaware that those around her were preparing for the worst. When she woke up, she realized how close she had come to losing everything and how easily she had neglected her own well-being under the weight of responsibility shrouded in resilience.

As a single mother, Sonia always believed she had no choice but to keep pushing forward. The weight of providing for her children, being successful and meeting social expectations, had left no room for rest. Her health crisis has been the wake up call she needed.

"I thought that because I was a single parent, I didn't have the luxury of slowing down, of taking care of myself. But the truth is, without health, we have nothing. And I learned that the hard way," she reflects.
