Gujarat Hindu Society (GHS), Preston are invited to the Red Carpet Premiere of Cama Sood Hara, by Haresh Sood, in celebration of India's Independence Day, at 7.00pm following the hoisting of the India flag at the 
South Meadow Lane GHS Preston.

After the overwhelming response across the UK, Ireland and Scotland, Cama Sood Hara is about to mesmerise the audience in the North-West of England in Preston, Lancashire at the VIP screening at the Arc Cinema on 15th August 2025. See the trailer below.

Ishwar is a highly motivated individual who thrives on challenges within the work place. Ishwar has excellent communication skills and a keen interest in voluntary work within the Hindu community of Preston. He has many years of experience in the business world and has been described as having 'the most pleasant personality that shines through in everything he does'.

 

Ishwar has served as a Business development officer with Lancashire County Development Ltd from 1986 to April 2011 for 25 years. Initially he was recruited as an employment liaison officer, specifically to work with the ethnic minority communities in Lancashire. He then moved into training, employment and business development activities such including business counseling, for existing and new business owners. Through his work he promoted information technology training whilst simultaneously coordinating projects and arranging seminars on how to import and export according to business needs. With his exceptional communication skills, he created bilingual business enterprise programs which assisted many people to obtain grants from council funding for ethnic minority businesses.

 

From 1990 onwards Business development became the main focus of Ishwar's work. For the last 20 years un particular he has been delivering business advice and consultancy to small medium enterprises, preparing business plans, cash flows and forecasts as well as assisting with funding applications. He has managed workshop projects, sewing training, business advice nights and exhibitions both within the County and in Europe. He has also active in group branding initiatives for collective marketing e.g. jeans manufacturers, upholstery groups and Asian restaurants as well as various other types of business. he established Preston Asian Business Association and acted as secretary for 3 years. he also provided support services to the Lancashire Centre for marketing excellence with ethnic minority businesses. He was responsible for the delivery of SRB funded projects in Haslingden, Preston recently in the Lancaster area.

From 1968 - to 1986, he had a a 3 year apprenticeship qualifying as a Turner, working on various machines, producing truck components to required specifications. This included accurate machining and ensuring quality finish of the product. Having worked on shop floor for 5 years, Ishwar was promoted to the position of Inspector, involving checking components to given specifications and also authorising work produced by machinist prior to commencing batch production. He worked as an inspector for over 8 years and was promoted to the position of a foreman at the young age of 30. This position carried the responsibility of looking after a team of 30 staff. During this time he attended college part time to gain qualifications in Quality Control systems.
 

Ishwar has been the proud President of the Gujarat Hindu Society (GHS) between 1986 and 2011), which involved maintaining Hindu religion and culture by encouraging and organising various activities within the community. He led the redevelopment of GHS Community Centre/temple project in Preston working closely with the main consultant to bring this project to fruition. The total project cost was £4 million, of which £1.77 Million was awarded through the Millennium Commission. The rest of the money raised was fund raising activities which were organized through the centre and with outside organisations. He was Involved in the Preston Mela, (Fair), which represents the South Asian culture to the wider mainstream communities and attract more than 10,000 people involved in the development of the Lancashire Black Minority Ethnic Pact (BME). As the company secretary, his role includes ensuring all governance and finance issues are kept up to date as well as attending meetings and recording minutes.

He has also acted as a Justice of Peace in Preston since 1986, specialising in adult, youth and family court as well as dealing with other types of crime. He has organised and managed charity functions to raise money and awareness for local, national and international causes. He is also an Associate member of the Institute of Business Counselling, former member of the Institute of Business advisor and Chartered Management Institute. Ishwar was honoured with an MBE for my work with race relations in Preston and the wider community in 2003 and then awarded as the Deputy Lieutenant of Lancashire in 2004 and received Honorary Fellowship of University of Central Lancashire in 2005.

One of the themes in the film focusses on the importance of reconnecting with faith and practicing liturgy in ones life. Ishwar's work, resonates deeply with the importance of Liturgy.
