LEADERSHIP: NEELAM AGGARWAL-SINGH MBE JP DL TO GRACE HER PRESENCE AT THE DAVENTRY VIP VAISAKHI SCREENING OF #CSH AT ARC CINEMA ON 3 APRIL 2025!
Neelam Aggarwal-Singh will join the VIP list especially selected by the production team of #CSH, from around the country for the Daventry leg of the Cama Sood Hara International film tour. The film which highlights many social, cultural and community issues, is receiving critical acclaim in each city as it travels. Each screening is focused on an ‘L’ word which the film inadvertently highlights.

As the film illustrates taking ‘leadership’ in your own life and being assertive about the choices you make, there is no better person to advocate this other than Neelam Aggarwal-Singh MBE. For those who came in late, she has tirelessly worked against all the odds after coming to the U.K. in the early 80’s. Since then she has highly educated herself and made herself and inspiration to many people. Having educated many, for over a decade whilst working in education, she is one of Britain's highest achievers.

Neelam is a Founder member and Chairperson of the Indian Hindu Welfare Organisation (IHWO) which was setup in 1996, a multi-million pounds project to build a Hindu Community Centre and Temple in Northampton. She has been involved with the Northampton Inter Faith Forum (NIFF) for several years and has recently been elected as a trustee of the National Inter-Faith Network. She is the brains behind many of Northampton’s Indian projects and played a key role in Northampton Kutumbh Centre.

Neelam Aggarwal-Singh holds an impressive working portfolio as a Founder, Director and Chief Spokesperson for many key organisations. She has worked tirelessly for over 25 years providing outstanding leadership and services to the community and has been featured in several prestigious books and articles as a valued member of the community. She has been a non-executive director of Northampton's primary care trust and its health authority and currently holds the same position at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. Neelam has experience of the local health economy, having previously been a Non-Executive Director with various NHS Trusts. Neelam started out her career in retail and has since progressed to great heights having also held positions as a Vice-Chair of the PCT, a Lay Member of the Lord Chancellor Advisory Committee and also Co-Chair of the BME Sub-Regional Partnership and co-founder and chairperson of Northampton Communities Alliance (NCA) from 2018 to 2021.

She has made tremendous contributions to her community through her various leadership roles. These contributions didn’t go unnoticed when she was rightfully conferred with the Northampton’s Inspirational Woman Award in 2013 in recognition of her cross-cultural community work which continues to enrich the people and town.
